Ruination follows Rae'Lynn Miller of Hog Haven who's resorted to the oldest profession to survive the unforgiving world, but it's against the law - even in 2102. The assumed equality humans once had and the level of entitlement no longer exist. A world with no equality, where everything obtained costs something. And everyone has a price.

Pollution has laid waste to an already delicate ecosystem killing off thousands of species. The majority of animals and plants - gone, but those that survived natural selection regain their place at the top of the food chain.

The hunter is no longer human.
THE RUINATION WORLD
Ruination takes place in the year 2102 during a time of devastation. Humans gravely misused and violated the laws of nature stripping away vital forests and natural resources. The overuse and waste are no longer something we can reverse. The time for action was well over a hundred years ago.
Hog Haven
Hog Haven is one of the settlements in Tantum, a vast area somewhere in the southern U.S. The Haven has three sectors facing a culdesac. Two and Three are made up of housing and dorms, while various shops make up Sector One. The Haven is home to the lower class people who do not have "valuable skills." Here you'll find mostly laborers who do the grunt work, in order to survive trade is done with a neighboring settlement., The Heights.
